Green Peas Idli Recipe Hey foodies!!! I hope you all are doing well. I am back with the new recipe of south-Indian cuisine. As now a days, I have seen fresh green peas, so I thought of making delicious recipes with those shiny green peas. Today I am making idli by using it. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Green Peas Idli

  • Green peas = 1 cup
  • Semolina (suji/rava) = 1 cup
  • Curd = 1 cup
  • Ginger = 1 inch piece
  • Green chili = 2
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Asafoetida (hing) = a pinch
  • Fruit salt (eno) = 1 tsp

For Tempering

  • Urad dal = 1 tsp
  • Oil = 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds = 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves = 8 to 10

Instructions For Making This Green Idli

Step 1

Firstly, take a grinder jar, add green peas, ginger and green chilies in it. Also add a tbsp of water and grind them finely.

Step 2

Take a mixing bowl and pour all the paste peas in it.

Step 3

Now add Semolina and curd in it and mix all the ingredients well.

Step 4

make sure that everything gets combine well.

Step 5

Now add salt and mix one more time. Keep this batter aside for 15 minutes by covering it.

Step 6

There is no need to add more water in it as I have only add 2 tbsp of water while making paste of It.

Green Peas Idli Batter

Step 7

Now for tempering, take a tadka pan, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 8

Add mustard seeds and urad dal in it and let the splutter for 2 minutes till dal changes its color.

Step 9

Then add curry leaves in it and give it a stir.

Step 10

Turn the flame off and give this tempering to the idli batter.

Step 11

Mix well and take an idli stand, grease it with oil and in a pan, add water and bring it to a boil.

Step 12

In idli batter, add eno in it and mix well. Pour this batter in idli stand.

Step 13

Put this stand to the boiling water and cover the lid. Let the idli steam for 12 to 15 minutes on edium flame.

After sometime, your idli will ready to serve. Serve them with chutney and enjoy.
