Garlic Knots Recipe These are a type of garlic bread which you have try at pizzerias, this is a classic Italian snack which’s dough is quite similar to the pizza dough but the only difference is that this dough has cut into strips and then tied in a knot and then after baking them, a prepared garlic, butter and parsley (coriander) mixture is pour onto the baked knots. They are really delicious and easy to make as one can easily try them at home. So let’s know how to make them at home.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Garlic Knots
- All purpose flour/Fine Flour/Maida = 2 cups
- Instant yeast = 1 tsp
- Salt = 1 tsp
- Sugar = 1/2 tsp
- Oil = 2 tbsp
- Water = for kneading the dough
- Butter = 200 gm
- Garlic = 12 to 15 cloves, finely chopped
- Coriander/parsley = 1/2 cup, finely chopped
Instructions For Making It
Firstly, we are going to knead its dough. In a mixing bowl, add fine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, oil and mix well.
Now mix all ingredients well. Further add water in it and using your fingertips, knead dough from the mixture. You can also use your hands for kneading and you don’t need to knead it more as when it becomes even, keep it aside for an hour by covering it.
Take a pan, add butter in it and let it melt.
After melting of butter, add chopped garlic in it and cook it for a while. Make sure you keep the flame low so that butter must not burn and garlic must not loose its taste. Keep stirring it for 2 minutes and then turn the flame off.
After an hour, dust some dry flour on the kneaded dough and also dust some flour on the surface. Now flatten in by using your fingertips and then cut 1 inch long strip from the dough.
Take one strip, roll it on your 2 finger twice, and then tie a knot from it. Keep this knot aside and make all the knots with the similar process.
Place these knots on a baking tray and place the tray in oven and bake them for about 10 to 15 minutes at 190 degree celsius until they baked well and crisp.
Once the knots are baked well, take them out from the oven and transfer them to a bowl and then pour 3 to 4 tbsp of prepared butter garlic mixture on it. Toss the knots and then serve it.
Your delicious crispy and tasty garlic knots are now ready to serve. Serve them hot and enjoy.
