Fruit Custard Recipe / How to make fruit custard

Fruit Custard is a dessert recipe which is made with many flavored fruits like mango, grapes, orange, pomegranate, banana, apple, strawberry and many other fruits. It is served chilled after meal. The taste of fruit custard is really delicious and it is also healthy because it consists many fruits. So let’s know how to make it at home.

Required ingredients for Fruit custard

  • Milk = 850 ml
  • Vanilla custard powder or any other flavor = 5 tsp
  • Green cardamom powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Apple = 1 cup, chopped in small pieces
  • Grapes = 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Mango = 1/2 cup, chopped in small pieces
  • Orange = 1/2 cup, chopped in small pieces
  • Banana = 2, cut into small pieces
  • Almonds = 1 tbsp, chopped
  • Cashews = 1 tbsp, chopped
  • Raisins = 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar = 150 gm or as per taste
  • Pomegranate seeds = 1/2 cup

Method of making Fruit custard

Step 1

Take 1 cup of milk separately and boiled the remaining milk.

Step 2

Now start boiling milk on a low flame and add cardamom powder in it.

Step 3

After one boil, add sugar in milk.

Step 4

Now take 1 cup milk which is separated above, add custard powder in it and mix it well because we do not want any lumps in it.

Step 5

Add this custard and milk mixture in the boiling milk and boil milk for 4 to 5 minutes by continuously stirring it otherwise it will get started burning.

Step 6

After sometime, milk starts get thicken, switch off the flame and let the milk become cool at the room temperature.

Step 7

Ones milk gets cool, put it into a fridge and let it become completely chilled. Rest it in a fridge for 4 to 5 hours.

Step 8

After the mentioned time, take of the custard milk and add all the chopped fruits in it. Mix them well.

Step 9

Now add dry fruits and mix well.

Fruit custard is ready.

Serve it chilled after your meal.

Tips-

  • You can use any fruits whichever you like.
  • You can add more dry fruits of your choice.
  • Always dissolve custard powder in a cold milk.
  • Always continuously stir the milk after adding custard mixture.
