McDonald’s style french fries recipe

French fries or simply fries or in Indian English you may also called finger chips.

Hey foodies!!! Welcome back to the zayka recipe’s kitchen, today we are going to make most famous and all time favorite snacks of everyone that is French fries. I think maybe there is not a single person who doesn’t like to have French fries.

So if you also like them too much but always have at the restaurants or get them from outside the house then don’t worry, today we are making these French fries at home. They are made with only 3 ingredients that is potato, salt and oil that is it. Yes you read it right; there are only 3 things to make them.

Required ingredients-

  • Potato =3 large size
  • Black pepper powder (optional) = ½ teaspoon
  • Oil = as required for frying
  • Tomato sauce = for serving
  • Salt =as per taste

How to make French fries

Step 1-

(French fries are made with those potatoes which contains very low starch. Those potatoes which have very thin peel or have thin skin which can easily come out are more preferred to make fries).

So first of all, remove the peel of potatoes and cut them into long wedges.

Step 2-

Now take a deep vessel, pour water in it and add salt in the water.

Let the water boil on the high flame and after water starts boiling, add potatoes in the water. Boil the potatoes for 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 3-

Now take off the potatoes from the water and wash them with the cold water for 2 to 3 times.

Now keep them on a cotton cloth so that the water remaining in them are absorbed by cloth.

Step 4-

Now take a deep fry pan, add water in it and let it heat on the flame.

Now fry them lightly just only for 2 minutes and take them off.

We do not have to fry them deeply because we will be frying them again to get them crispier.

Step 5-

Let the fried potatoes set in refrigerator for about half an hour.

(THIS STEP IS THE MAIN STEP AS THE CRISPINESS OF THE FRENCH FRIES DEPENDS UPON IT)

Now after ½ an hour, fry them again on a low flame until they gets golden in color.

Your French fries are ready to serve. Sprinkle the black pepper powder on the fries and serve them with the tomato sauce or with mayonnaise.
