Falahari Makhane Paneer Balls Recipe This recipe is perfect for the fast as it does not require much ingredients but of course those ingredients which are needed for making vrat food. They are crispy round balls which are delicious in taste and easy to make. So let’s know how to make it.

Ingredients Required For Falahari Makhane Paneer Balls

  • Fox nuts (makhane) = 1 cup
  • Cottage cheese (paneeer) = 1 cup, boiled and grated
  • Potato = 1 cup, grated
  • Amaranth flour(rajgiri ka atta) = 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies = 2, finely chopped
  • Ginger = 1 inch piece, grated
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Coriander = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Oil or ghee = for frying

Instructions For Making

Step 1

Firstly, boil potatoes and grate them. Also grate cottage cheese (paneer). Keep them aside.

Step 2

Now in a wok, add 2 tbsp of ghee and heat it up.

Step 3

Now add fox nuts (makhane) in it and roast them till they turn golden in color and make sure you continuously stirring it to avoid burning. Roast them on a medium to low flame as they are very light weighted so there are high chances of burning.

Step 4

After roasting the, take them out from the wok and after cooling, crush them coarsely by using mortar and pestle or by using rolling pin.

Step 5

Take a mixing bowl, add grated paneer, crushed fox nuts, grated potatoes, amaranth flour (rajgiri ka atta) and mix well to a binding consistency.

Ste 6

Then add salt, chopped green chilies, ginger and chopped coriander in it.

Step 7

Once everything gets combine well and even, then start making roundels from it by rolling it in your palms or you can also shape them as tikki. Make all the shapes with the similar process and keep aside.

Step 8

Further in a wok, add oil or ghee and heat it up. Then add the prepared balls to the medium hot oil and fry them till they turn golden in color or crisp.

Step 9

Flip them in between so that they gets cooked well from inside as well. Shake off the excess oil and transfer to the serving plate.

Finally, your delicious falahari makhane paneer balls are now ready t serve. Serve them hot with green chutney and enjoy.
