Egg Manchurian recipe

Sometimes we want something different to eat. Something which is sweet and spicy and different from the ordinary food. So today we are going to make manchurian but in different style. We are going to make egg manchurian. Egg manchurian is a Chinese recipe which is made from the Chinese sauces. So let’s know how to make egg manchurian at home.

Required ingredients for egg manchurian-

  • Boiled egg= 6
  • Soya sauce = 2 tsp
  • White vinegar = 1 tsp
  • Chili garlic sauce = 1 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce = 1 tbsp
  • Corn flour = 1/2 tbsp
  • Water = 1/4 cup
  • Spring onion = 2 tbsp
  • Ginger and garlic = 1 tsp, finely chopped
  • Green chili = 2, chopped
  • Onion = 1 medium size, chopped in cubes
  • Green bell pepper = 1/2, chopped in cubes
  • Yellow bell pepper = 1/2, chopped in cubes
  • Salt = 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar = 2 tsp
  • White sesame seeds = 1 tsp

Ingredients for batter

  • All purpose flour = 4 tbsp
  • Corn starch = 2 tbsp
  • Salt = 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste = 1 tsp
  • Cooking oil = 4 tbsp

Method for making egg manchurian-

Step 1

Cut boiled eggs in long shape. Now for making egg crispy, take a bowl and add all purpose flour, corn starch, black pepper powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and oil. Mix all the ingredients very well.

Step 2

Now add water little by little in the mixture. Make a thick batter from the mixture.

Step 3

Heat a pan and add oil in it. Now take an egg and dip it into the batter and then pour it into the oil for frying.

Remember that oil should be medium hot.

Step 4

Fry it only for few seconds because we are going to double fry the procedure for making eggs crispier.

Step 5

Take out the pieces of eggs when batter sticks on it.

Step 6

Now again heat the oil and fry eggs until they change golden brown in color.

Step 7

For making sauce-

Take a bowl and add soya sauce, white vinegar, chili garlic sauce, tomato sauce, corn flour and water. Mix all the thing well and our sauce is ready.

Step 8

Now heat a pan and pour 1 tbsp oil in it.

Step 9

In a heating oil, add spring onions, onions, and yellow or green bell pepper in it. Fry the vegetables for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 10

Now add Sauces mixture in the vegetables and saute it. Add black pepper powder, salt, sugar. Mix them well by continuously stirring it.

Step 11

Turn off the flame and then add fried eggs in it. Mix them with the sauce gently.

Add sesame seeds and spring onions for garnishing.

Serve them hot.
