Dum Chicken Recipe Hey guys!! Today I am going to make chicken in new style. If you also like to experiment with new recipes, then you must try this new chicken recipe of dum chicken. The taste of this chicken will come out to be so good. The best part is that it does not need much ingredients and efforts. The flavor of whole spices and chicken is damn good. Necessary Ingredients Required For Dum Chicken
- Chicken = 500 gm, with bones
- Onion = 2, finely chopped
- Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Green cardamom powder = 1/2 tsp
- Ginger = 1 tbsp, Chopped in long
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Cumin powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Curd = 1/2 cup
- Bay leaf = 1
- Cinnamon stick = 2 piece
- Cloves = 6
- Black cardamom = 2 pods
- Oil = 1/2 cup
Instructions For Making It
Wash chicken well and let the water drain from it by putting it in a strainer.
After it, put it in a mixing bowl and then add red chili powder, curd, ginger and garlic paste, salt and green cardamom powder. Mix all the things well and let the chicken marinated for 2 hours.
After the mentioned time, take out the chicken and put a pan on a flame. Add oil in it and heat it up.
After heating of oil, add black cardamom pods, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cloves. Saute them for few seconds.
Now add chopped onion in it and saute till it turn soft or slightly turn into pinkish color.
When onion turns soft, add marinated chicken in it and stir it well.
Cook it on a medium flame for 10 minutes by continuously stirring it.
After 10 minutes, turn the flame low and cover the lid. Let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes on a low flame.
Now after 25 minutes, chicken is well cooked, add julienne cut ginger. Mix it and cook for 2 more minutes.
Turn the flame off and serve it.
Dum chicken is ready to serve. Serve it hot with naan, roti or paratha.
