Dry Garlic Chutney Recipe This is a Popular Maharashtrian chutney recipe which is also known as lahsun kobra. This chutney is used to sprinkle on vada or filling in vada while making vada pav. The taste of garlic chutney makes vada pav more delicious. It contains dry garlic powder, red chili powder, dry coconut and other basic ingredients. You can easily make this chutney at home and can also store it in a container for about weeks.Also chutney are considered to be one of the most preferred side dish for snack as well as meals.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Dry Garlic Chutney
- Garlic = 18 to 20 cloves
- Dry coconut = 1/2 cup, grated
- Sesame seeds = 1 tbsp
- Peanuts = 1 tbsp, roasted
- Red chili powder = 2 tsp
- Coriander seeds = 1 tsp
- Dry mango powder (amchur) = 1 tsp
- Oil = 1 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
Instructions For Making Vada Pav Chutney
Firstly, take a wok, add a tsp of oil in it and heat it on a low flame.
Add garlic cloves in it and saute them on a low flame. Continue to stir it well for 1 minute and make sure that it should not burn.
After frying them, take them off from the pan and transfer it to a plate and then add grated coconut into the pan and roast them till turn into light golden in color on a low flame and then remove it from the pan and transfer to the plate.
Further add sesame seeds in a pan and roast them till they start spluttering. Roast them for 30 seconds and keep it aside as well.
After cooling of all the roasted ingredients, put them in a jar and grind them well.
Furthermore, add red chili powder, salt, dry mango powder, coriander seeds, peanuts and grind them again till peanuts gets grind finely.
Here your delicious dry garlic chutney is ready to serve.
