Welcome to the Zayka recipe’s kitchen, today I am going to make “Dora cake”. I am sure you have heard about Dora cake! But if you don’t know what is Dora cake? So let me tell you that Dora cake is a Japanese sweet pan cake which is known as Dorayaki cake in Japan and in short, we call it as Dora cake. It is made by the filling of gooey sweet treats like chocolate spread or jam.
Dora cake (Dorayaki cake)
Dora cakes are kid’s delight. They are easy to make and can be healthy too because it contains many nutritious ingredients. Children like to call it as Doraemon’s Dora cake. There is no rocket science to make this dora cake recipe, this recipe is super easy to make and yummy to eat. You can also pack it into your child’s lunch box and I am sure that he/she definitely liked it.
Ingredients required for making Dora cakes-
- All purpose flour =1 cup
- Honey =1 tablespoon
- Condense milk = 2 to 3 tablespoon
- Sugar powder =2 teaspoon
- Vanilla essence =1/2 teaspoon
- Milk =3/4 cup
- Chocolate spread = for stuffing
- Baking soda =1/2 teaspoon
Method of making Dora cake-
Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, sugar powder, baking soda and mix them well.
Now add ½ cup milk, honey, condense milk and vanilla essence in the mixture. After adding all these ingredients, mix them together and beat the mixture with the help of whisker or spoon.
After beating up the mixture, check, whether the consistencies of the batter is going thick or not and then adds the remaining milk into the batter and mix it well.
Our batter is ready to make pan cakes.
Now take a non stick fry pan and put it on a medium flame. Now grease some butter on the pan.
Now take 1/3 cup of the batter and put it on the pan.
You don’t need to spread the batter on the pan as it itself spread on the pan because of its consistency.
Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the slow flame and after 2 to 3 minutes you see that there is bubble on the top of the dora cake.
When you see bubbles on the cake, and then flip the cake gently with help of spatula and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes from the other side.
Your cake base is ready. Make all the cakes with the remaining batter by using the same method.
After making all the cakes, let them cool and then we can start filling the stuffing of the dora cake.
For stuffing, take 2 cakes and spread the chocolate spread on the cake gently with the help of knife or spoon. You can stuff the chocolate spread as much as you like to have. Now take another part of the cake and put it on the stuffed cake and press it gently with the help of your hands.
Your Dora cakes are ready.
. If your fry pan is large in size, then you can make 2 cakes at a time.
. You can also fill any other sweet stuffing or jam.
