Necessary Ingredients Required For Custard Cake Recipe

  • Milk = 1.5 cup
  • Vanilla custard powder = 3/4 cup
  • All purpose flour = 2 cups
  • Baking soda = 3/4 tsp
  • Powdered sugar = 1.5 cup
  • Baking powder = 1.5 tsp
  • Oil = 3/4 cup
  • Butter = to grease mould

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly, take a mixing bowl, add custard powder and milk in it and whisk it till smooth. Make it a lumps free mixture.

Step 2

Now in another bowl, sieve all purpose flour and add baking powder, powdered sugar and baking soda in it. Mix well.

Step 3

Gradually add oil in it and mix well.

Step 4

Further gradually add the prepared custard and milk solution in the fine flour and mix it till it becomes smooth and lumps free.

Step 5

Take a wok, put it on a flame and place a stand in it. Heat it up on a low to medium flame for 20 minutes.

Step 6

Take a mould, grease it with butter and then pour this prepared batter into the mould. Tap it for 2 to 3 times to make it even.

Step 7

After 20 minutes, put the mould on a stand and cover the lid of a pan. Let it bake on a low to medium flame for 30 to 35 minutes.

Step 8

After 35 minutes, open the lid and check by pricking a toothpick in cake, if it comes out clean then cake is ready.

Remove it from the mould gently and after cooling, cut it as per your preferences.
