Homemade Choco Chips Recipe Chocolate chips or chocolate morsels which is commonly known as choco chips are small chunks of sweet chocolate used in many desserts or ice creams or coffee or smoothies or cakes as well. They are easily available at super markets but nothing is more good than the homemade things.

So here I am sharing an easy and quick recipe of making choco chips which is really really easy so that if you wanna give this work to you kids, they will enjoying doing this. Let’s know how to make them at home.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Homemade Choco Chips

  • Dark compound chocolate = 2 bars
  • Water = 2 cups
  • Aluminium foil or butter paper

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly in a pan, add water and bring it to a boil.

Step 2

Until water is boiling, chop the chocolate bars into small pieces.

Step 3

Once water gets boil, put a heat resistant glass bowl or any other steel bowl on the pan, but make sure it does not touch water from the bottom.

Step 4

Turn the flame on medium to low and add chopped chocolate pieces in it.

Step 5

Now continuously stirring it till it gets completely melt.

Step 6

Turn the flame off and stir it to make it lump free. If you are melting it on a very high flame then it will become granulated which is not good for making choco chips.

Step 7

Once it is melted well, keep it aside for 2 minutes.

Step 8

Take a piping bag or a plastic milk pouch, make a cone shape of it and fill it with melted chocolate.

Step 9

Lying butter paper or aluminium foil on a tray or plate.

Step 10

Make a very small hole in the piping bag or milk bag.

Step 11

Once the mixture of chocolate becomes slightly cool, start dropping small drops on the butter paper or aluminum foil.

Step 12

Make sure the mixture will not be too thick nor too running in consistency. If it is thin, then the droplets will not become steady, it will spread and does not look like chocochip anymore.

Step 13

Once you are done by making them. Put the tray into a refrigerator for about 2 hours.

Step 14

After 2 hours, take them hot and gently scratch them by using knife tip.

Step 15

Put them in an air tight container.

Your homemade choco chips are now ready. Use it whenever you want and store it in a refrigerator for bout a month and more.
