Chilli paneer is an Indo-Chinese cuisine which is made with bell pepper or capsicum and cottage cheese or paneer. But today I am going to make it in Indian style because whenever I made this at my home, everybody loves it. So I thought why shouldn’t I share this recipe with you. The flavor of spices, sauces and paneer makes it lips smacking and want you to have it more. If you wanna eat something healthy and delicious, so you should try this chili paneer recipe. Let’s know how to make it.
Necessary ingredients required for chilli paneer-
- Cottage cheese or paneer = 400 gm, cubes
- Bell pepper or capsicum = 3, medium size, chopped in cubes
- Tomato puree = 1/2 cup
- Onion = 1, medium size, chopped in cubes
- Green coriander = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Oil = as required
- Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Cumin powder = 1 tsp
- Corn flour = 1 tbsp
- Soy sauce = 1 tsp
- Tomato ketchup = 1 tbsp
- White vinegar = 1 tsp
Method of making-
Take a bowl, add paneer in it. Now add salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste, cumin powder and corn flour.
Mix all the dry spices well with the paneer so that paneer should be coated properly.
Keep it aside for 5 to 8 minutes.
Now take a pan, pour some oil in it and heat it up.
Add coated paneer in a pan and saute it for 2 minutes so that spices should stick on the paneer.
Keep it aside now.
Add some more oil in a pan and saute fry the capsicum cubes in it. Keep it with paneer.
Now add 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, add onion in it and saute it for few seconds. Now add tomato puree and mix it well.
Add tomato ketchup, salt, white vinegar, soy sauce and mix it well for 1 minute.
Now add fried capsicum and paneer in a mixture.
Cook it for 2 minutes.
Serve it in a serving bowl.
Chilli paneer is ready to serve. Serve it with naan or roti or jeera rice.
