Chicken Peri Peri Recipe This chicken barbeque is quite popular all over the world but its main origin is from Africa. Today I am making this chicken peri peri in exactly African style. You may require some those ingredients which are difficult to found, but ones you found all those ingredients then trust me you will just love the recipe of this chicken. The spicy flavor and the smoke fusion of charcoal makes your mouth watering while making this. You will not gonna regret after making this chicken.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Chicken Peri Peri

  • Chicken = 1 kg
  • Olive oil = 1/2 cup, extra virgin
  • Garlic = 15 cloves
  • African devil red chilies = 12
  • Bay leaf = 2
  • Paprika = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as required
  • Serrano chilies = 6
  • Lemon juice = 1 tbsp
  • Oil = 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1/2 tsp

Instructions For Making In Simple Steps

Making Of Sauce

Step 1

Take a grinder jar, add paprika, black pepper powder, devil red chilies, serrano chilies, lemon juice, garlic cloves, olive oil. Make a fine paste by grinding it. Sauce is ready.

Method Of Marination

Step 1

Cut the chicken into large pieces and then wash them well.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, add chicken pieces and prepared peri peri sauce and salt. Mix the chicken pieces into the sauce and keep it aside for 10 minutes.

For Smokey Flavor

Step 1

Take few pieces of wood charcoal, heat them up and put them in an aluminium foil cup. Put this cup on a marinated chicken and then add some oil on the activated charcoal. Cover the lid of the bowl and let it smoke for 25 to 30 minutes.

For Barbeque

Step 1

Take a pan, put it on a flame and heat it up.

Step 2

Now place the marinated chicken pieces on a pan and let them cook till they turn brown. Stir them in between so that they should not get burn.

Step 3

You can also dab chicken pieces into marinade and then again put them on a pan.

Step 4

Make sure that the chicken pieces must be cooked well and a beautiful golden color appears on them.

Your chicken peri peri is now done.

Serve them hot. Enjoy.
