Today I m going to share a very tasty and delicious chicken snacks recipe that is Chicken Hot Shots. Hot shots recipes is a fried chicken recipe that was popularized by fried chicken specializing restaurants like KFC. Chicken hot shots are basically small chicken chunks that are cut in the form of cubes and then covered in a batter of corn flour all purpose flour or rice flour. These chunks are then deep fried in oil until they became golden in color and crispy. So lets start the recipe of our KFC style chicken hot shots in our kitchen.

Necessary Ingredients We Required

For marination

  • Boneless chicken = 500 gm, cut into cubes
  • Garlic paste = 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/3 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1 tsp
  • Mustard powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar = 1 tbsp
  • Salt = to taste
  • Red Chili powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice = 1 tbsp

For batter

  • Corn flour = 4 tbsp
  • Salt = to taste
  • Chili sauce = 1 tbsp
  • White pepper powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Milk = To make batter thick

For other

  • Oil = for deep frying
  • Flour = 1 cup
  • Chicken powder = 1 tbsp

Method Of Making Chicken Hot Shots

Step 1

Take a bowl and add chicken cubes in it.

Step 2

Along with chicken cubes add garlic paste, salt, black pepper powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, vinegar, mustard powder, lemon juice and mix everything well.

Step 3

Leave the marinated chicken for 1 hour or 45 minutes.

Step 4

Till chicken gets marinated, take another bowl and add corn flour, salt, white pepper powder, chili sauce, baking powder and gradually ad milk in it to make a thick paste.

Step 5

Take a plate and mix chicken powder and flour and set this dry mixture aside.

Step 6

Heat oil in a wok on high flame.

Step 7

Now add marinated chicken cubes in the batter and then roll them in dry mixture of flour and chicken powder.

Step 8

Add coated chicken cubes in hot oil and fry it for 5 minutes on medium flame.

Step 9

Fry them until it become crispy and golden brown in color.

Your Chicken Hot Shot is now done. Serve it hot with ketchup.
