Chicken Fry Recipe | Easy and Crispy Chicken Fry

Chicken Fry Recipe This chicken recipe is southern recipe which is prepared by marinating chicken pieces in gram flour and basic spices. This is a deep fried recipe, this is a perfect starter recipe which you can easily make at home. The crispy chicken pieces and its spicy flavor makes just lip smacking. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Chicken Fry

  • Chicken = 1 kg, with bones
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 2 tbsp
  • Gram flour or besan = 3 tbsp
  • Corn flour = 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder = 2 tsp
  • Salt = 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Cumin powder = 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice = 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder = 1 tsp
  • Oil = for deep frying

Instruction For Marinating

Step 1

Wash all the chicken pieces well and make a cut on pieces with the help of knife, so that marination gets into it.

Step 2

Now take a bowl, add chicken in it and add ginger and garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, lemon juice, cumin powder, dry mango powder, corn flour and gram flour.

Step 3

Mix all the things well so that the spices and gram flour should be coated well on chicken pieces.

Step 4

Keep this marinated chicken aside for about an hour.

Method To Fry Chicken

Step 1

Take a pan, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 2

After heating up of oil, add chicken pieces in it. Do not over crowded it.

Step 3

Firstly let the chicken fry on high flame and then after few seconds turn the flame medium.

Step 4

Fry them on a medium flame, flip occasionally and fry them till the chicken pieces turn crispy.

Step 5

Make sure they do not burn or turn dark brown, chicken pieces must be tendered.

Step 6

Take them out and shake them off to remove excess oil.

Step 7

Put these fried pieces on paper towel.

Step 8

Fry the remaining chicken pieces with similar process.

Your chicken fry is ready to serve. Serve them hot with green chutney, lemon and onion slices.

You can also sprinkle some chaat masala on chicken pieces for better taste.
