Chana Dal Keema Recipe Hello everyone!! Today I am here with a new and delicious recipe for the non veg lovers. This chana dal keema is quick, delicious and lip smacking in taste. If you have a sudden guest arrival, then you can easily make this dish at home without making a lot of efforts. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Chana Dal Keema
- Chana dal (split chickpea) = 1 cup
- Minced meat = 250 gm
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Onion = 2, finely chopped
- Tomato = 2, finely chopped
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Asafoetida = a pinch
- Dry red chili = 2
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Bay leaf = 1
- Oil = 2 tbsp
Instructions For Making It
Firstly clean and wash chana dal well and soak them in water for about 1 hour.
In a pressure cooker, add oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds, dry red chili, bay leaf and saute them for while.
Now add chopped onions in it and cook till they turn soft and translucent.
Then add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell of ginger garlic disappears.
Now add chopped tomatoes in it along with red chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, coriander powder and some salt. Mix all the spices well with tomatoes and now cook till tomatoes turns soft and mushy.
Later add clean and wash minced meat (keema) in it and fry it well till all spices are coated well on it.
Add 1/2 cup of water in it and cover the lid. Cook it for about 2 to 3 whistles and then open the lid, add soaked chana dal in it without add any amount of water in it. Cover the lid and cook it again till 2 whistles.
After cooking it, remove the lid and check if water is present in it, then cook it openly till water evaporates from it. Finally, add garam masala powder in it and give it a nice mix.
Here Your delicious chana dal keema is now ready. Serve it hot with chapati and enjoy.
