Caramel Popcorn Recipe This is an amazing recipe of popcorn which you surely wanna try at home. The best thing is that you don’t need corn syrup for this recipe. I am using sugar for caramel, although the exact cooking temperature is not necessary, all you have to keep in mind is just the sugar timing for caramelizing. They are easy if following steps exactly. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Caramel Popcorn
- Popcorn kernel = 1/2 cup
- Oil = 2 tbsp
- Sugar = 1 cup
- Butter = 3 tbsp
- Salt = a pinch
- Baking soda = 1/4 tsp
Instructions For Making It
Firstly take a wok, add oil in it and heat it up. Then add popcorn kernels in it and stir it to coat oil on them.
After stirring for a minute, spread a thin layer of popcorn with spoon and then cover the lid. Let the popcorn pop up completely.
Ones they pop up well, turn the flame off and let the steam release itself. keep it aside.
Take a pan, heat it up and then add sugar in it. Continue to stir sugar in it and spread a thin layer of sugar in a pan for caramelizing. Once sugar stars melting, keep stirring it until it completely melts and caramelized.
Then add butter in it and mix well. Further add salt and give it a nice mix and let it cook till it turn into a beautiful golden in color.
Finally, turn the flame low and add baking soda in it and mix well. You will see that it becomes foamy now.
Add prepared popcorn in it and mix it from the bottom well. Keep aside for cooling.
If they stuck together then don’t worry, they are easily separated by hands. Separate them ones they cools completely.
Finally, your delicious caramel popcorn are now ready to serve. Serve these delicious popcorn and enjoy.
