You can easily make this delicious recipe for lunch and pack for the office as well. Kids will surely liked it as it has a unique taste and different flavor of spices as well. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required Cabbage Pea Recipe
- Peas = 2 cups
- Cabbage = 1/2 kg, finely chopped
- Onion = 1 medium size, chopped
- Red chili powder = 2 tsp
- Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder = 3 tsp
- Carrot = 1 , chopped
- Ginger garlic paste = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Spring onion greens = 1 tbsp, chopped
- Oil = 2 tbsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
Instructions For Making It
In a pan, add oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds in it and let them splutter for a while.
Then add chopped onion in it and saute them til they turn slightly pinkish in color.
Now add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell disappears from it.
Now add peas and carrot in it and cook these veggies for about 2 minutes by continuously stirring it.
Add chopped cabbage in it and also add all the dry spices like red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix all the spices with veggies for 2 minutes and then turn the flame on medium and cover the lid. Cabbage itself release a lot of water in which we have to cook the vegetables.
Once the veggies gets tendered well, open the lid now and check if water is present in it, the cook it on a high flame so that water gets evaporated from it.
Further add garam masala powder in it and give it a nice mix.
Turn the flame off and now add chopped spring onion greens in it.
Finally your delicious cabbage peas is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with chapati or paratha and enjoy.
