Ingredients Required For Cabbage Manchurian

  • Cabbage or patta gobi = 1 cup, grated
  • All purpose flour = 1/2 cup
  • Carrot = 1/2 cup, grated
  • Capsicum = 1/2, grated
  • Green chilies = 3, finely chopped
  • Corn flour = 2 tbsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Oil = for deep frying
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder = 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce = 1 tbsp
  • Tomato sauce = 2 tbsp
  • Chili sauce = 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar = 2 tsp
  • Spring onion greens = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Spring onion white = 2, chopped

Instructions For Making It

Method For Making Manchurian Balls

Step 1

Take a mixing bowl, add grated cabbage, carrot and capsicum, green chilies, a pinch of black pepper powder, salt, corn flour and all purpose flour.

Step 2

Mix all the ingredients well till it combines into a binding consistency and make sure that all the things get mixed evenly.

Step 3

Add water if needed and make small balls from the mixture.

Step 4

Take a pan, add oil in it for frying, heat it up.

Step 5

After heating of oil, add manchurian balls in it and fry them on a high flame till they turn crispier and golden brown in color. Flip them occasionally to avoid burning.

Step 6

After frying the, remove the excess oil and put them on a plate. Keep these fried balls aside.

Method Of Making Sauce

Step 1

Take a pan, add 2 tbsp of oil in it and heat it up. After heating of oil, add chopped spring onion white and saute for 2 minutes.

Step 2

After it, add ginger and garlic paste and saute till the law smell vanish.

Step 3

Add green chilies in it and saute for few seconds. After that, add soy sauce, chili sauce and tomato sauce in it and mix well. Stir it continuously on a medium to high flame.

Step 4

Add 2 cups of water, salt, vinegar and black pepper powder. Mix it well and bring it to a boil.

Step 5

Till it is boiling, take a small bowl, add 2 tbsp of corn flour in it and make a paste of it by adding water in it.

Step 6

When sauce boils, add this corn flour paste in it and mix it well. Stir it till the gravy becomes thick.

Step 7

Turn the flame low and add fried manchurian balls in it and give it a stir.

Turn the flame off.

Your Cabbage manchurian is ready to serve. Garnish it with some chopped spring onion greens and enjoy. Serve it hot with rice or enjoy it as itself.
