Bombay Ice Halwa Recipe Hey guys!!! So today I a here with the new recipe which is considered to be a dessert or sweet as well. This Bombay ice halwa is really amazing in taste and the best part is that you can also store it in refrigerator for a week as well. This halwa is made of milk, corn flour, ghee and some chopped dry fruits. But the method of making this halwa is different from the other halwa recipes. Without wasting any time, let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Bombay Ice Halwa

  • Milk = 2 cups
  • Corn flour = 1/2 cup
  • Sugar = 1.5 cup
  • Orange food color = 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee = 1/2 cup
  • Green cardamom powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Almonds = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Cashews = 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • Pistachios = 1 tbsp, finely chopped

How To Make Ice Halwa

Step 1

Firstly for making this halwa, take a wok, put it on a flame and add milk, corn flour, sugar and ghee in it.

Step 2

Now continuously stir it and cook it till it becomes lumps free. Keep flame on low.

Step 3

When the mixture becomes lumps free, turn the flame medium and cook it till the mixture becomes thick. Make sure that you are continuously stirring it otherwise it will start burning.

Step 4

Ones the mixture turns thick and in a paste consistency, add food color in it and mix it well.

Step 5

Keep the flame on medium and then add green cardamom powder in it. Mix well.

Step 6

Further add 2 to 3 tsp of ghee and mix it till the mixture becomes glossy or shiny.

Step 7

Now turn the flame off.

Step 8

Take a butter paper, add this halwa on a butter paper by using ladle and spread it.

Step 9

Place another butter paper on the halwa and spread it evenly gently with hands.

Step 10

Remove the upper butter paper and add some chopped dry fruits and then again place a butter paper.

Step 11

Again press it gently so that dry fruits sticks on it.

Step 12

Now place this in a refrigerator for cooling.

Step 13

After cooling, Cut the edges to make it even and then cut this into square pieces.

Your bombay ice halwa is now ready to serve. Serve it after meal and enjoy.

You can also store this halwa into refrigerator for about a week.
