Besan Pyaz Sabzi Recipe | Chickpea Flour And Onion Sabzi

Besan Pyaz Sabzi Recipe This recipe is quick and easy and most of all this is really delicious in taste. Onion is the vegetable which is used in most of the houses of India. So here I am sharing a delicious recipe of besan pyaz sabzi which is amazing in taste and gives you a new idea of making dish for lunch or for dinner. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Besan Pyaz Sabzi

  • Onion = 3
  • Gram flour = 1.5 cup
  • Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Carom seeds = a pinch
  • Green coriander = few leaves
  • Green chili = 2, finely chopped
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tsp

Ingredients For Making Gravy

  • Onion = 2, finely chopped
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 2 tbsp
  • Green chili = 2, finely chopped
  • Tomato = 2, finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder = 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder = 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Oil = as required

Instructions For Making It (Gravy)

Step 1

Firstly in a pan, add oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds in it and let them splutter for a while.

Step 2

Now add ginger and garlic paste with chopped green chilies and saute for a while.

Step 3

Add chopped onions and saute till onions turn soft and translucent.

Step 4

After onion turns soft, add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Cook all the spices well without burning them.

Step 5

Now add chopped tomatoes in it and cook till tomatoes gets tendered and mushy. Further add a dash of water in it and simmer the flame. Cover the lid and let the gravy cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

Instructions For Making Pakora

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, chopped onions, carom seeds, ginger and garlic paste, green chilies, coriander, salt, red chili powder. Mix all the ingredients well and then gradually add water in it to make a pakora batter of it.

step 2

Heat oil in a pan, add drop the batter to make pakora from the mixture. Fry the pakora till they turn golden in color and crisp and directly add them to the prepared gravy, also add some more water to the gravy and mix it well.

Step 3

Once you are done by adding pakora in the gravy, mix it well and cover the lid. Simmer the flame and let it cook for 5 minutes so that pakora absorbs the gravy. (add water as per your required consistency of gravy).

Step 5

Finally, add some garam masala powder and chopped green coriander and serve.

Your delicious besan pyaz sabzi is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with chapati or paratha and enjoy.
