Besan Chilla Sabzi Recipe Today I am going to share chilla sabzi recipe which is gravy based. We all love chilla right!! But who knows that it makes a delicious lunch or dinner dish as well, as by adding these delicious chilla in gravy is really amazing. I like to eat this dish a lot. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Besan Chilla Sabzi
- Gram flour = 2 cups
- Curd = 1 cup
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds = 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste = 2 tsp
- Onion = 2, paste
- Asafoetida = a pinch
- Garam masala powder = 1 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Green chili = 2, finely chopped
- Oil = as required
- Water = as required
Instructions For Making It
Take a mixing bowl and add some red chili powder, salt and mix them well. Gradually add water in it and make a smooth lumps free batter from the flour. Batter must not be too thick nor thin.
Take a pan, add a tsp of oil in it and by using ladle, pour some batter on a pan and spread it in a circular motion. Then roast it well on a medium flame so that it cooked well. Once it turns light golden in color, fold it into a square pocket and keep it aside. Make all the chilla with the similar process.
Instructions For Making Gravy
In a pan, add oil and heat it up. After heating of oil, add cumin seeds, asafoetida and green chilies. Splutter them for a while and then add ginger and garlic paste in it. Saute it till raw smell disappears.
Later add onion paste in it and cook till it turn translucent. Further add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder and mix all the spices well.
Add a dash of water to cook spices well and then add curd in it. Mix it well and now cook till gravy turns thicken. You can add water as per your required consistency of gravy.
Once it take a boil, add chilla in it and then add garam masala powder. Mix it.
Finally, turn the flame off and then add chopped coriander in it. Your delicious besan chilla sabzi is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with chapati and enjoy.
