Banana bread is a type of bread made from mashed bananas. Banana bread is often a moist, sweet, cake like quick bread which is liked by most of the peoples in their tea time. Its taste is like all the cake breads but the flavor of banana makes it more delicious than the normal bread cake. You can also buy it from the store, but i prefer to make it at home. The bread which we are going to make is eggless. So let’s know how to make it at home.
Required ingredients for banana bread-
- Banana = 4, ripe
- Brown sugar = 1/2 cup
- All purpose flour = 1.5 cup
- Baking soda = 1/2 tbsp
- Baking powder = 1 tbsp
- Cooking oil = 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence = 1 tsp
- Cinnamon powder = 1/3 tsp
- Chocolate chips = 2 tbsp
- Cashews = 1 tbsp
Method for making-
Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree.
Now take a bowl and add chopped banana in it. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar in a bowl and mix them well.
Now add cinnamon powder and mix them well for the flavorful taste.
Now add flour in it and along with the flour, add baking soda, baking powder, oil and vanilla essence. Mix all the ingredients well.
Add chocolate chips and cashews in the mixture and mix them well.
Beat the mixture well and it looks dry then you can add 2 tbsp of milk in it for making it moist.
Beat the mixture until its consistency become equal.
Now take a mold and grease it with butter, then put a butter paper on it.
Pour all the mixture into the greased mold and tap it on the floor so that it will fix frequently into the mold.
Put some extra chocolate chips on the top of the mixture.
Now put it into the oven and bake it for 30 to 40 minutes.
After the mentioned time, check whether it is baked or not. Take a toothpick, make a hole in the cake by the toothpick, if it is clean then cake is ready, but if the mixture sticks on it then bake it for 10 more minutes.
Your banana bread is ready.
