Balushahi Recipe Welcome back to the zayka recipe’s Kitchen. Today I am going to share a delicious recipe of balushahi which is amazing and lip smacking. Although some people says that making balushahi is a difficult taste, but the way I am going to share with you is really easy and you can easily make perfect balushahi with this process. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Balushahi Recipe

  • All purpose flour = 2 cups
  • Clarified butter or ghee = 1/2 cup
  • Cold water = 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = a pinch
  • Ghee = for frying

For Sugar Syrup

  • Sugar = 2 cups
  • Water = 1 cup
  • Green cardamom powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron threads = a pinch

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, sieve all purpose flour in it and then add baking soda, salt in it and mix all the dry ingredients well.

Step 2

Now add ghee in it and mix it till all the mixture comes together and even.

Step 3

Gradually add water in it and make the flour together. We do not have to knead a dough of it. Keep it aside.

Step 4

Now in a separate pan, add sugar and water in it and then cook it till sugar completely dissolves in water.

Step 5

Then add green cardamom powder and saffron threads in it and cook the mixture for 10 to 12 minutes till it makes a thick sugar syrup.

Step 6

Now take wet flour and put it on a surface, grease your palms with ghee and knead it again. Cut it into long and put it into a strip on one upon one. Do this process for about 6 to 7 times.

Step 7

Once you are done with this process, roll it and keep it aside for rest.

Step 8

In a separate pan, add oil and heat it up. Pinch a part from the dough and make a ball of it.

Step 9

Further make a hole by using your thumb in it and add it to the oil for frying. Fry them till they turn light golden in color and then add them o the medium hot sugar syrup.

Step 10

Soak them for about 7 to 10 minutes and then take them out in a plate.

Finally, your delicious balushahi are now ready to serve. Serve them after meal as a dessert and enjoy.
