Anardana Candy Recipe Welcome back to the zayka recipe’s kitchen. Today I am sharing our childhood favorite candy recipe which are really delicious in taste and also helps to digest food. These candies are also available in markets but I prefer to make these candies at home as they are much more better than the bought one. If you have some time and ingredients are easily available to you then you can also make them at home and can easily store them as well for about 2 months in an airtight container. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Anardana Candy
- Dry pomegranate = 2 tbsp
- Roasted cumin powder = 1 tbsp
- Dry mango powder = 2 tbsp
- Black salt = 1/2 tbsp
- Black pepper powder = 1 tsp
- Powdered sugar = 7 tbsp
- Dry ginger powder = 1/2 tbsp
- Lemon juice = 2 tbsp
Instructions For Making It
Firstly in a pan or a griddle, add dry pomegranate and roast them till they slightly turn golden and then transfer them in a plate for cooling.
Add it to the grinder jar after cooling and then grind it into a fine powder.
Similarly, add cumin seeds on the griddles and dry roast them. Grind them into a fine powder after cooling. Make sure the cumin seeds must not be over roasted or turn black in color.
Now transfer both the ingredients cumin powder and pomegranate powder in a mixing bowl and also add black pepper powder, ginger powder, black salt, dry mango powder and powdered sugar (reserve 1 tbsp of sugar for later use).
Mix all the ingredients well and then add lemon juice in it. Mix well, first you will see that the mixture looks dry but as far as it will turn wet and you have to knead a dough like mixture from the dry ingredients. You can also add lemon juice if required.
Now using your fingertips, make small ball from the mixture and add them to the reserved powdered sugar. Coat these balls well.
Finally, let them dry completely.
Your delicious homemade anardana candy are now ready. Have them after meal and enjoy.
