Aloo Palak recipe is a stir fried Indian spinach and potatoes. This aloo palak recipe is a side dish recipe which is very easy to make yet it is a healthy and a quick recipe. This dish does no take too much time as to clean and chopped spinach takes a little bit time. The taste of this recipe is amazing as it can be served with roti, paratha or puri. This goes very well for the lunch box as well as lunch. Although this recipe does not contain a lot of ingredient nor a single drop of water. As spinach releases its water, so our potato gets tender in its water. This is such a yummy recipe of spinach which I prefer to make for lunch. Necessary Ingredients Required For Aloo Palak
- Spinach = 400 gm, finely chopped
- Potato = 2, chopped in cubes
- Green Fenugreek = 100 gm, finely chopped
- Garlic cloves = 4 to 5, finely chopped
- Onion = 1, medium size, finely chopped
- Asafoetida = a pinch
- Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Dry red chilies = 3, finely chopped
- Green chilies = 2
- Oil = 2 tbsp
- Turmeric = 1/4 tsp
Method Of Making In Steps
Take a pan, pour oil in it and heat it up.
After heating up of oil, add cumin seeds, asafoetida. Let them splutter for few seconds.
Now add chopped onions and garlic, saute them for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add chopped dry red chilies and saute for 2 minutes.
Now add chopped potatoes, turmeric and salt. Mix them well and fry potatoes for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add chopped fenugreek and spinach, mix it well in a pan. Cook it by stirring it for 5 to 8 minutes.
When it starts leaving water, cover the lid and cook it on a low flame.
After sometime, open the lid and add green chilies. Cook it on a high flame to evaporate its water.
Now your aloo palak ki sabzi is ready to serve. Serve it hot with roti or paratha.
