Aloo Methi With Gravy Recipe hey guys!! I hope you all are doing well. Today I am sharing a delicious recipe of aloo methi which consist gravy and trust me guys this is an amazing recipe of methi. Necessary Ingredients Required For Aloo Methi With Gravy

  • Fresh green fenugreek (methi) = 2.5 cup, finely chopped
  • Boiled potato = 1.5 cup
  • Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Onion = 1, finely chopped
  • Garlic = 5 cloves, finely chopped
  • Ginger = 1 tsp, grated
  • Tomato = 1, finely chopped
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder = 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Gram flour = 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice = 1 tsp
  • Sugar = 1 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Oil = 2 tbsp
  • Water = as required

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly clean fenugreek well and then chop it, wash it well and keep it aside for draining its water.

Step 2

In a pan, add oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds in it and let them splutter for a while.

Step 3

Now add chopped onion in it and fry it till onion turn slightly turn light golden in color and then add chopped ginger and garlic in it. Saute both the ingredients till raw smell disappears.

Step 4

Then add chopped tomato in it and cook tomato till it turns soft and mushy. You have stir it continuously to avoid burning.

Step 5

Now add red chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder in it and mix well till spices gets cooked well.

Step 6

Further add boiled potatoes in it and continuously stir it by using spoon or spatula. Add a dash of water and cooked well.

Step 7

Cook it for about a minute and then add chopped fenugreek and some salt. Mix well and cook it for 5 to 7 minutes till it cooked well.

Step 8

In a 3/4 cup of water, add roasted gram flour and make a slurry of it. Gradually add this slurry into the cooked sabzi.

Step 9

Also add sugar and lemon juice in it and now cook it till the gravy becomes thick as per your required consistency. Turn the flame on simmer and then cook it for 2 minutes.

Finally, your delicious aloo methi with gravy is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with chapati or paratha and enjoy.
