Aloo Matar Keema Recipe | Potato and Peas With Minced meat

Aloo Matar Keema This is a very delicious non-veg recipe which you can easily make at home. The flavor of spices with minced meat is just lips smacking. Although it does not need a lot efforts to make it. It is such a quick and easy recipe. Make it in dinner or lunch and enjoy with your friends and family.

Necessary Ingredients Required Aloo Matar Keema

  • Mutton minced = 1/2 kg or 500 gm
  • Onion = 2 medium size, chopped in slices
  • Tomato = 3, finely chopped
  • Peas = 1 cup
  • Potato = 2, medium size, chopped in cubes
  • Ginger and garlic paste = 1 tbsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves or kasuri methi = 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice = 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies = 3, finely chopped
  • Coriander powder = 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder = 1.5 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Oil = 4 tbsp

How To Make It In Easy Steps

Step 1

Take a pressure cooker, add oil in it and heat it up.

Step 2

After heating up of oil, add cumin seeds in it and let it splutter for few seconds.

Step 3

After spluttering of cumin, add onion in it and saute it till it becomes slightly brown.

Step 4

Now add ginger and garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes. Add minced meat in it and cook it till all the water evaporates from it.

Step 5

Now add all the dry spices powder like, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix all the spices well with meat and add a splash of water and let it cook for 7 to 8 minutes by stirring it.

Step 6

Then add chopped tomatoes and dry fenugreek leaves in it and mix it well.

Step 7

Cover the lid and let it cook for till tomatoes becomes soft.

Step 8

Open the lid after 2 minutes and check tomatoes becomes soft, cook it by continuously stir it.

Step 9

Add potato and peas in it and mix it well with all the spices. Also add 2 cups of water and then cover the lid. Let the 2 whistles comes in it and then turn the flame low and let it cook for 10 minutes.

Step 10

Turn the flame off and open the lid, add coriander, garam masala powder and lemon juice. Give it a stir.

Your aloo matar keema is ready to serve. Serve it hot with roti or paratha.
