Aloo Matar Fry Recipe Hey guys!!! Today I am going to share a quick, easy and delicious lunch recipe which is really quick and easy to make. I think the more light food we have at lunch, the more we are healthy. So this is of the the healthy recipe which have less spices but taste is just incredible. You can also give this dry sabzi to the lunch boxes to your kids and they will surely gonna finish their lunch box. So let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Aloo Matar Fry Recipe

  • Boiled potatoes = 4
  • Green peas = 1/2 cup
  • Tomato = 1, finely chopped
  • Green chili = 2, finely chopped
  • Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
  • Oil = 1 tbsp

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly wash potatoes well and then transfer them into a pressure cooker with some water for boiling and boil the potatoes for about 2 whistles or until they get perfectly tendered.

Step 2

Once the potatoes boiled, remove the peel of potatoes and keep them aside by cutting the into pieces.

Step 3

In a pan or a wok, add oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds in it and then add green chili. Saute them for a while and then add boiled potatoes in it with peas. Fry both the ingredients well until they slightly turns golden.

Step 4

Then add chopped tomatoes in it and mix well. Cook the tomatoes till they mushy and further add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder. Mix all the spices well.

Steep 5

Add a dash of water in it and simmer the flame. Cook it for 4 to 6 minutes and then turn the flame off.

Step 6

Make sure the peas must be tendered as here I ma using frozen peas in this recipe. Add some chopped coriander in it.

Finally, your delicious aloo matar fry is now ready to serve. Serve it hot with hot chapati or puri or paratha and enjoy.
