Aloo Kachori Recipe Kachori is a spicy snack which is mainly originated from the Indian subcontinent. Today I am sharing its recipe that how easily you can make it at home and can also consume it for several days. You do not need much ingredients for this kachori recipe and you can store it for the later use. I am going to make potato stuffed kachori today. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Aloo Kachori Recipe
- All purpose flour = 2 cups
- Semolina = 1/8 cup
- Salt = as per taste
- Clarified butter = 3 tbsp
- Water = for kneading the dough
- Potato = 3, boiled and mashed
- Cumin seeds = 1 tsp
- Coriander seeds = 2 tsp, roasted and crushed
- Fennel seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Green chilies = 2, finely chopped
- Ginger paste = 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Dry mango powder = 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder = 1/2 tsp
- Onion = 1, finely chopped
Instructions For Making In Simple Steps
For making stuffing, take a pan, add oil in it and heat it up.
Now add cumin seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds. Saute them till they splutter. Further add onions in it and saute till they turn translucent.
Then add chopped green chilies, ginger paste. saute till raw smell disappears.
Now add all the spices like red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, dry mango powder. Cook the spices well and then add boiled and mashed potatoes in it and mix it with the spices well till it combines with spices.
Stuffing is ready, keep it aside for cooling.
For kneading the dough, take a mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, semolina, salt and ghee in it. Mix well.
Gradually add water in it and knead a smooth dough from the flour.
After sometime, take a small potion from the dough, grease your palms with oil and the roll the dough to make a small ball.
Roll it by using rolling pin and then take a spoonful of stuffing, place it in center and then close it by sticking all the sides of a circle.
Gently roll it by using rolling pin and prepare all the kachori with the similar process.
Take a pan, add oil in it and heat it up. Ones the oil gets heated, add prepared kachori in it and fry till they turn crisp and golden brown in color.
Ones it is fried well, shake off the excess oil and transfer it to a plate.
Your aloo kachori are now ready to serve. serve them hot with any aloo sabji or cutney.
