Aloo Dal Recipe Welcome back to tyhe zayka recipes kitchen. Today I am going to share a sabzi recipe which is goes well with puri. We all love puri but sometimes we are confuse that what to make with it as usual chole or aloo ki sabzi or something else. This is a quick and delicious recipe which you can make and serve with puri. So let’s know how to make it.
Necessary Ingredients Required For Aloo Dal Recipe
- Chana dal = 1/2 cup
- Potato = 5, chopped in cubes
- Red chili powder = 1 tsp
- Coriander powder = 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder = 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder = 1 tsp
- Dry red chili = 2
- Bay leaf = 1
- Black seeds (kalonji) = 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seeds = 1/4 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds = 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Fennel seeds = 1/2 tsp
- Sugar = 1/2 tsp
- Salt = as per taste
- Mustard oil = as required
Instructions For Making It
Clean and wash chana dal well and then soak it in water for about 4 to 5 hours.
In a pan, add oil and heat it up. Then add dry red chili, black seeds, cumin seeds, bay leaf, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, mustard seeds and let them splutter for a while.
Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and cook all the spices for about 30 seconds. Now add chopped potatoes in it and mix well with spices for a minute and add a dash of water as well. Cover the lid of pan and cook it on a low flame for about 10 to 12 minutes or till potatoes gets tendered well.
After cook them , add chana dal in it, mix well and cook it till dal cooked well. You can add water as per your required consistency and add sugar in it.
Finally, your delicious aloo dal sabzi for puri is now ready to serve. Add cumin powder in it with some chopped coriander and serve it hot with puri or paratha and enjoy.
