Aloo Bonda Recipe Hey guys!! I hope you all are doing well. As we all know that in some regions of India, monsoon arrives and in monsoon season where beautiful drops of rain falls, we all start craving for pakoda or bonda or fried snacks. I think this is the most natural thing among Indians right?. So here I am sharing a delicious aloo bonda recipe which is as quick as tasty it is. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Aloo Bonda Recipe

  • Gram flour (besan) = 1 cup
  • Potato = 5, boiled
  • Coriander seeds = 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds = 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds = 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric = 2 pinch
  • Red chili powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili = 5, finely chopped
  • Oil = for deep frying
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Dry red chilies = 3

Instructions For Making It

Step 1

Firstly boil potatoes well and then remove the skin of potatoes. Mash them by using potato masher and transfer it to a bowl. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix all the ingredients well with potatoes.

Step 2

In a pan, add 1 tbsp of oil and heat it up. Then add cumin seeds, coriander seeds and mustard seeds. Let them splutter for a while.

Step 3

Now add mashed potatoes in this tempering and  mix them well.

Step 4

On a medium flame, continually stir the mixture for 5 to 7 minutes and then turn the flame off.

Step 5

In other mixing bowl, add gram flour and then add as per taste red chili powder, turmeric powder and some salt. Mix all the ingredients well and gradually add water in it and make a smooth thick batter from the mixture.

Step 6

Add chopped green chilies in potato mixture and mix well.

Step 7

In a pan, add oil and heat it up. Make small balls from the potato mixture and then dip them to the thick gram flour batter. Make sure they must be coated well and then add them to the hot oil. Turn the flame medium after adding bonda in it and fry them till they turn golden in color. Flip them in between and fry them well.

Step 8

After frying them take them out from oil and keep it in a plate. Make all the bonda with the similar process.

Step 9

Also fry dry red chilies in oil and take them out.

Finally, your delicious aloo bonda are now ready to serve. Serve them hot with fried chilies and sauce or chutney and enjoy.
