Afghani Paratha Recipe Hello guys!! Today I am sharing a delicious recipe of Afghani paratha which is really delicious in taste. If you wanted to have something delicious in morning breakfast, then you can surely go for this recipe. Let’s know how to make it.

Necessary Ingredients Required For Afghani Paratha

For Dough

  • All purpose flour = 1 cup
  • Wheat flour = 1/2 cup
  • Salt = 1/2 tsp
  • Oil = 2 tsp
  • Curd = 2 tbsp
  • Baking soda = 1/4 tsp

For Stuffing

  • Potato = 4, boiled
  • Green chilies = 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic = 2 cloves
  • Turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder = 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder = 1/2 tsp
  • Salt = as per taste
  • Spring onion = 5 tbsp, finely chopped

Instructions For Making

Step 1

For kneading the dough, take a mixing bowl, sieve fine flour, wheat flour in it and then add salt, and oil in it. Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 2

Now make a space in between the flour and then add curd and baking soda in it. Beat the curd well.

Step 3

Mix all the ingredients well to knead the dough. Add a tsp of oil and mix well and knead a smooth dough from it. Keep this dough aside for 15 minutes by covering it.

Step 4

For Stuffing-

Firstly, grate the boiled potatoes and transfer them in a mixing bowl, now add green chilies, spring onions, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix all the ingredients well to combine them evenly.

Step 5

Add 2 to 3 tbsp of water in it and mix well.

Step 6

Pinch a portion from the dough and roll it into a ball.

Step 7

Roll it like chapati and heat a griddle, put the prepared roti on it and then grease some oil on it.

Step 8

Now add the prepared stuffing in center and then spread it all over the chapati by using spoon.

Step 9

Do not spread it in corners. Now fold it as shown in the picture.

Step 10

Fold the paratha into triangular shape by pressing on its corner so that it sticks well.

Step 11

Heat a tawa, add the prepared paratha, grease some oil and then fry it on a low to medium flame.

Step 12

Flip it and then grease oil, fry it also from the other side.

Make all the paratha with the similar process.

Finally, your delicious afghani paratha is now ready to serve. Serve it hot and enjoy.
